Asynchronous, online CPD Course
This advanced CPD course is designed for experienced RCICs who already understand the mechanics of Family Class sponsorship and wish to deepen their legal reasoning, evidentiary strategy, and refusal-prevention skills.
The program moves beyond statutory basics and focuses on how officers actually assess genuineness under IRPR s.4, why refusals are routinely upheld, and how high-risk or non-traditional relationships are evaluated in practice.
Participants will adopt a litigation-informed mindset and learn to design applications that are coherent, defensible, and capable of withstanding judicial scrutiny.
The course is structured in two progressive modules:
· Module 1: The Law of Genuineness: How Officers and Courts Actually Decide Family Class Cases
· Module 2: Engineering Approval: Red Flags, Evidence Design & Litigation-Informed Submissions
The framework introduced throughout the program emphasizes proactive red-flag identification, contextual explanation, counter-evidence design, narrative integration, and judicial survivability testing.
Participants must complete the course module by module in sequential order. Each module must be completed before proceeding to the next. Completion of the course quiz is required in order to successfully complete the course.
